  email from my brothers girlfriend

  this is too beautiful not to share, and as you all know my brother committed suicide a few weeks ago.

  i met his girlfriend first over the phone, then for the first time in person at the funeral home for viewing.

  i feel good knowing someone as special as this woman is .....was close to my brother.

  I Got The Phone Call Last Night - My Dad Died

  my mom called last night to tell me he passed on sunday.

  he died peacefully and fairly painlessly.

  my mom said she was talking with him, went to answer the phone, and 5 minutes later he was gone.

  I'm sorry for your pain, now and that endured over the past few years....my true condolences. It's always tough to lose a parent, no matter the circumstances. I am surprised that he survived so long after being taken off of the treatment. At least he is at peace and your mom now can look to her own life and what she wants to do.

  my nephew attends a school that is operated by and attached to a large fundy church (boo!).

  this year he made it onto the school's soccer team (yay!

  ) and as circumstances would have it i had to pick him up after practice tonight (indifferent!).

  What would she, as a pioneer, possibly have to offer others at that Church? She must be delusional if she thinks she's going to "hook" someone with JW propaganda.

  Too bad you didn't talk to her, asking if she attended the church.

  i was on a mad-dash daytrip to edinburgh today, and in the morning we were up on the royal mile.

  being the fringe we quickly attracted about eight trees' worth of advertising.

  most of the people flyering were dressed in costumes or in t-shirts advertising the shows, but some were in ordinary clothes.

  Anyone here actually spoken to a Scientologist?

  Yes... they're totally wacky. I live in L.A., years ago I was walking down Hollywood Blvd., when they were still a small, anonymous group and a couple of them approached me out in front of the building they were occupying. They wanted me to come inside and take some "free" tests to see how symbionic I was with the universe.....eh, "No thanks" was my reply. Fast forward 35 years, they still have the building on Hollywood Blvd., still "bothering" tourists (and others), but now they own a lot of property and buildings in and around Hollywood....they're loaded. Sometimes the head of their organization will appear on a late night radio talk show trying to convince everyone how they ARE a religion and how "normal" they are..... the funny thing is, people will call in and dispell that notion when they tell about their own experiences on how they were taken for a ride, financially and otherwise, by the organization.

  well, the hard, rusty gears of theocratic justice has begun to turn, and the teeth have caught me.

  for those of you who read my earlier threads, in february of 2005, a "sister" i had known for almost 30 years contacted me and wanted to know what i had learned in the years since i had faded.

  after granting me full assurance of confidentiality, in writing, i disclosed to her the un scandal.

  I did write her a final email telling her off and letting her know that her betrayal and dishonesty was the strongest argument against her position of defending the Society. She wrote back telling me that she had deleted that email without reading it, and didn't want to read anymore "vomit".

  Oh pleeeeeeze.... if that was really the case, she would have just deleted it and not notified you.....who's she kidding?

  i kept having problems logging in...so i hope that is over now.. i'm a fader, 5 years this summer.

  my family came in in the 30's, and most all still are in... po's, elders, reg pios, pillars...you know the story.

  i thought his answers were both clever and honest.

  it's funny i never heard about the letter he sent to bush three months ago.

  Back From Our Honeymoon!

  well, we're back guys!

  we really miss our hotel, wished we could stay 1 week longer!

  we had a great time together, despite of a few design flaws in our handicapped designed room (my wife is a double amputee).
